The Technical, Performance and Financial audits are conducted primarily by independent Technical and Financial auditors (Inspectors)

Technical Auditors include:

1. Civil Engineers with expertise in Highways, Materials, Structures, Drainage and Contracts.
2. Environmental scientist, Procurement specialist, Mechanical Engineer, IT specialist and HR specialist

Financial Auditors:

Qualified Accountants with a bias and experience in Audit.

KRB has finalized the procurement of Technical, Performance and Financial audit consultants for Financial year 2009/2010 to 2011/2012.The following are the auditors in the various regions of the country:

2. Package II - Eastern Region : Natconsult Consulting Engineers/Mathenge & Company
3. Package III - Central & North Eastern: Wanjohi Consulting Engineers/Peter Githae and Associates
4. Package IV - South Rift Valley: Kinconsult Associates/Deloitte & Touche
5. Package V - North Rift Valley : Otieno Odongo & Partners/Erastus & Company
6. Package VI - Nyanza Region: Across Africa/African Consulting Engineers/CPJ/Nderitu Mairo & Co.
7. Package VII - Western Region: CAS Consultants/DCDM

The department has a team of experienced Civil Engineers and Financial Auditors who ensure the Audit Consultants deliver as per Contract.
